Come and join in our Sawa Sawa programme. Meet interesting and inspiring people from Egypt. Live with an Egyptian family, learn some of the Arabic language, and know the Egyptian culture.
Sawa Sawa is a change making programme that all five AFS African partners (Egypt, Tunisia, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa) are taking turns in hosting. The programme is about making a difference in your community. Participants will visit some community project organisations, plan a project that they will implement in their home countries, visit historic places and have LOTS of FUN!
Programme
1. Active Global Citizen Training.
2. Community Service Project site visit.
3. Historic visits.
4. Trip outside Cairo (Optional – partial fund)
5. Cultural Event.
6. Home stay with families.
We are seeking applicants who are: Open minded, flexible and adaptable, responsible, self-motivated, and socially active. Willing to accept and work with others in diverse communities.
Arrival: 03 November 2017 (arrival in Cairo International Airport)
Departure: 13 November 2017 (departure from Cairo International Airport)

How to Apply: The application is meant to allow the selection committee know you and your motivations for applying to the Sawa Sawa Programme. For your application to be considered, you must include all necessary information, but also feel free to be creative with your answers.
